Medical School MD + DO Mastery

A 4-year, board-aligned study system for medical school and licensing exams.

Walk the full Year 1–4 curriculum — foundational sciences, organ-system blocks, clinical clerkships and advanced practice — each with mastery checklists and linked learning resources, plus a dedicated review system for school exams, Shelf/COMAT, USMLE Step 1–3 and COMLEX-USA Levels 1–3.

C. WHAT SCHOOL EXAMS COMMONLY REQUIRE

ResourceDescriptionLink
Physiology / hormonesMotility, gastric acid, pancreatic secretion, bile, GI hormones, digestion and nutrient absorption; predict downstream effects of blockade.
Esophagus / stomachGERD, dysphagia, peptic ulcer disease, gastritis and gastric pathology; connect symptom timing/anatomy to the appropriate diagnostic approach.
Small / large bowelDiarrhea mechanisms, celiac/malabsorption, obstruction, IBD, diverticular disease and colorectal pathology; localize by stool/symptom pattern.
GI bleedingUpper vs lower source, hemodynamic severity, BUN/Cr clues, endoscopic/imaging sequence and initial stabilization priorities.
Pancreas / biliaryPancreatitis, pancreatic insufficiency/cancer, gallstones/cholecystitis/cholangitis and obstructive patterns; interpret enzymes/imaging.
Liver / bilirubinAST/ALT/ALP patterns, bilirubin fractions, hepatitis, cirrhosis/portal hypertension and synthetic function; distinguish injury from function.
Nutrition / vitaminsMacro/micronutrient deficiency, bariatric/malabsorptive states, alcohol, starvation/refeeding and fat-soluble vitamin consequences.
GI pharmacologyAcid suppression, antiemetics, laxatives/antidiarrheals, IBD therapies, hepatic/pancreatic implications and major toxicities/interactions.

D. 7-DAY GI / LIVER REVIEW CYCLE

ResourceDescriptionLink
Days 1-2Rebuild motility/secretion/digestion/absorption and GI hormones from memory; immediately work nutrient-absorption and diarrhea questions.
Days 3-4Esophagus/stomach + bowel disease. Use symptom localization, stool pattern, pathology and endoscopy/imaging clues rather than disease-name recall.
Day 5Pancreas/biliary + liver. Work LFT/bilirubin patterns, portal-hypertension complications, pancreatitis and biliary obstruction.
Day 6Timed mixed block with GI bleed, malabsorption, nutrition and pharmacology; classify each miss by reasoning failure.
Day 7Targeted repair only; re-test weak mechanisms on NEW vignettes, then finish with a cumulative mixed GI/hepatobiliary set.

D. 7-DAY GI / LIVER REVIEW CYCLE — E. GI / LIVER ERROR-LOG TAXONOMY

LOCALIZATION - site; PHYSIOLOGY - secretion/motility/absorption; LAB - LFT/bilirubin; BLEEDING - source/sequence; NUTRITION - deficiency; THERAPY - drug/next step. SCHOOL-EXAM GATE - Localize from symptoms/labs, interpret LFT/bilirubin and malabsorption patterns, select the next diagnostic step, and predict treatment/nutrition consequences.
