Medical School MD + DO Mastery

A 4-year, board-aligned study system for medical school and licensing exams.

Walk the full Year 1–4 curriculum — foundational sciences, organ-system blocks, clinical clerkships and advanced practice — each with mastery checklists and linked learning resources, plus a dedicated review system for school exams, Shelf/COMAT, USMLE Step 1–3 and COMLEX-USA Levels 1–3.

CARDIOVASCULAR SCHOOL-EXAM + PROBLEM-SOLVING MASTERY

YEAR 2 | PAGE 22C - ECG, MURMURS, HEMODYNAMICS, DIAGNOSTICS + PHARM

C. WHAT SCHOOL EXAMS COMMONLY REQUIRE — Hemodynamics / PV loops

Translate preload, afterload, contractility, compliance and valve disease into loop/Wiggers changes, CO, EF and compensatory physiology.

C. WHAT SCHOOL EXAMS COMMONLY REQUIRE — ECG / conduction

Rate, rhythm, axis, intervals, AV/bundle blocks, ischemic ST-T changes, electrolyte effects and common tachy/bradyarrhythmias.

Murmurs / valves

Timing, location, radiation, intensity/maneuver changes, chamber consequences and echo correlation.

Ischemia / MI

Coronary territory, supply-demand logic, biomarkers, time-course pathology, mechanical/electrical complications and initial diagnostic sequence.

HF / cardiomyopathy

Systolic vs diastolic physiology, congestion, neurohormonal compensation, hemodynamics, imaging and mechanism-based therapy.

Congenital / vascular

Left-to-right vs right-to-left shunts, Eisenmenger logic, coarctation, aneurysm/dissection and hypertension consequences.

Cardio pharmacology

Antianginal, antihypertensive, HF, antiarrhythmic, antiplatelet/anticoagulant mechanisms, signature toxicities and physiologic effects.

D. 7-DAY CARDIOVASCULAR REVIEW CYCLE — Days 1-2

Rebuild cardiac cycle, PV loops, CO/BP relationships, conduction and ECG basics without notes; then do targeted physiology questions.

D. 7-DAY CARDIOVASCULAR REVIEW CYCLE — Days 3-4

CAD/MI + HF/cardiomyopathy + valves. For each case predict the hemodynamics before reading the options.

Day 5

Arrhythmias, hypertension/vascular and congenital lesions; integrate drug mechanisms and adverse-effect patterns.

Day 6

Timed mixed block with ECGs, murmurs, graphs/PV loops, imaging and pharmacology; classify every miss by reasoning failure.

Day 7

Targeted repair only; re-test each weak mechanism on NEW tracings/graphs/vignettes and finish with a cumulative mixed set.

E. CARDIOVASCULAR ERROR-LOG TAXONOMY — TAG THE REASON FOR THE MISS

HEMODYNAMIC DIRECTION - wrong preload/afterload/contractility/PV prediction. ECG LOCALIZATION - lead, territory or conduction logic failed. MURMUR MECHANISM - timing/maneuver/chamber consequence was not derived. THERAPY MECHANISM - target, physiologic effect or signature toxicity was unclear.

E. CARDIOVASCULAR ERROR-LOG TAXONOMY — SCHOOL-EXAM GATE

  • Proceed when you can predict the hemodynamic answer before viewing choices, interpret common ECG/murmur patterns, and connect disease mechanism to diagnostics and drug effects on unfamiliar cases. VIDEO-FIRST | SCHOOL-EXAM + BOARD-EXAM MASTERY
