Medical School MD + DO Mastery

A 4-year, board-aligned study system for medical school and licensing exams.

Walk the full Year 1–4 curriculum — foundational sciences, organ-system blocks, clinical clerkships and advanced practice — each with mastery checklists and linked learning resources, plus a dedicated review system for school exams, Shelf/COMAT, USMLE Step 1–3 and COMLEX-USA Levels 1–3.

DRUG CLASSES + SAFETY INTEGRATION

YEAR 1 | PAGE 14B - ANTIMICROBIAL, CARDIOVASCULAR & CNS PHARMACOLOGY BRIDGES

CURRENT STEP 1 PHARMACOLOGY EMPHASIS

Step 1 still tests pharmacology, but current USMLE guidance emphasizes MECHANISMS OF ACTION over detailed treatment selection, interactions, adverse effects or contraindications. School exams may test the broader drug profile, so learn mechanism deeply and attach a small set of signature clinical facts.

B. SYSTEM / DRUG-CLASS VIDEOS - SUBSTANTIVE DIRECT VIDEOS

Use these as representative mechanism bridges. You will revisit the full system-specific pharmacology during Year 2 organ blocks.

DRUG-CLASS INTEGRATION CHECK

  • For every class, reduce the list to receptor/enzyme/channel -> physiologic effect -> disease effect -> signature toxicity/monitoring.
  • Antimicrobials: link microbial target to selective toxicity and the resistance mechanism that defeats the drug.
  • Cardio/renal drugs: predict preload, afterload, heart rate, contractility, conduction, volume or electrolytes before recalling names.
  • CNS drugs: connect neurotransmitter/receptor changes to therapeutic effect, sedation, dependence, movement or autonomic adverse effects. VIDEO-FIRST | SCHOOL-EXAM + BOARD-EXAM MASTERY
