Medical School MD + DO Mastery

A 4-year, board-aligned study system for medical school and licensing exams.

Walk the full Year 1–4 curriculum — foundational sciences, organ-system blocks, clinical clerkships and advanced practice — each with mastery checklists and linked learning resources, plus a dedicated review system for school exams, Shelf/COMAT, USMLE Step 1–3 and COMLEX-USA Levels 1–3.

D. HOW TO TRANSLATE A CLINICAL-PRESENTATION DOMAIN INTO REVIEW

Review layerQuestion to ask
Normal + mechanism Pathology / microbiologyWhat anatomy/physiology/biomechanics explains the presentation? What process failed, and what findings should follow?
Osteopathic integration DiagnosticsIs there a relevant structural, autonomic, viscerosomatic or biomechanical relationship? What is the next/confirmatory test, and what would it show?
Treatment + safety Competency overlayWhat treatment is appropriate; what OMT indication/contraindication or procedural safety issue matters? What communication, prevention, professionalism or systems-based issue is embedded?

D. HOW TO TRANSLATE A CLINICAL-PRESENTATION DOMAIN INTO REVIEW — 4. System percentages should not create isolated silos DEEP EXPLANATION A musculoskeletal item can also test OPP/OMT, communication, imaging and pharmacology. A respiratory item can test rib mechanics, autonomics, infection, acid-base or patient counseling. The blueprint is

multidimensional.

D. HOW TO TRANSLATE A CLINICAL-PRESENTATION DOMAIN INTO REVIEW — WHY STUDENTS MISS IT Learners often map one question to one chapter and miss the competency overlay. EASIEST CLUE After answering, label both the clinical presentation and the competency/task being tested. 5. Wellness/community health deserves longitudinal attention DEEP EXPLANATION Community Health and Wellness carries a 12% minimum and can include prevention, population context, risk reduction, screening, counseling and systems-based reasoning. WHY STUDENTS MISS IT It is easy to postpone because it does not feel like a classic organ-system block. EASIEST CLUE If your mixed sets contain almost no prevention/community-health review, you are under-sampling a major blueprint category. 6. Small domains still require a coverage floor DEEP EXPLANATION Development/reproduction, endocrine, GU/renal/breast and integumentary each carry explicit 5% minimums. A weak smaller domain can remain visible across multiple assessments even when high-weight

systems dominate total study time.

WHY STUDENTS MISS IT Students sometimes overcorrect toward the largest categories and allow smaller systems to decay. EASIEST CLUE Give every explicit blueprint domain maintenance exposure, then add extra time where performance data justify it. — E. SYSTEM REVIEW RULE

  • Keep one biomedical disease model shared with Step 1-style study, then add osteopathic competency and presentation framing.
  • Use mixed COMLEX-style questions so the system label does not cue the diagnosis or the OPP connection.
  • Tag misses by BOTH presentation category and failure type: mechanism, OPP/OMT, diagnostic step, communication, professionalism, systems or timing. 2026/27 COMLEX Level 1 blueprint expanded edition - verify current NBOME and school guidance before testing
