Medical School MD + DO Mastery

A 4-year, board-aligned study system for medical school and licensing exams.

Walk the full Year 1–4 curriculum — foundational sciences, organ-system blocks, clinical clerkships and advanced practice — each with mastery checklists and linked learning resources, plus a dedicated review system for school exams, Shelf/COMAT, USMLE Step 1–3 and COMLEX-USA Levels 1–3.

YEAR 1 EXAM MASTERY SYSTEM

YEAR 1 | PAGE 20A - DAILY/WEEKLY LOOP, RETRIEVAL + SPACING

SCHOOL EXAMS FIRST - BOARDS IN PARALLEL, NOT IN PLACE OF SCHOOL

Use the Academy loop inside every block: LEARN -> RETRIEVE -> APPLY -> TEST -> REMEDIATE -> RE-TEST. School objectives define what must be mastered now; targeted board-style questions teach transfer. The Year 1 goal is durable understanding so later Step 1/COMLEX review becomes retrieval and integration rather than first exposure.

A. EVIDENCE-BASED LEARNING RESOURCES - DIRECT VIDEO / VIDEO LIBRARY

2.Clinician's Corner: Tips on How to Study Smarter - Osmosismedical learningMedical-learning workflow from a clinician-educator: active study, organization, scheduling and deliberate review rather than passive rewatching.
3.Six Strategies for Effective Learning - The Learning Scientistsvideo libraryTrue video library on retrieval practice, spaced practice, interleaving, elaboration, concrete examples and dual coding. Use the focused videos to repair study-process weaknesses.

B. THE REPEATABLE YEAR 1 STUDY CADENCE — Same day

After lecture/lab, close the notes and reconstruct the mechanism, anatomy map, pathway or clinical skill from memory. Re-open only to correct gaps.

B. THE REPEATABLE YEAR 1 STUDY CADENCE — Next day

Brief retrieval of yesterday's material + 10-20 targeted questions after the concept is learned; review every option, not only the keyed answer.

3-7 days

Spaced re-test using new questions/images and interleaved prior content; avoid rereading the same notes as the primary method.

Weekly

One cumulative mixed block + spaced review of older foundations. Track whether old material remains retrievable under time pressure.

End of block

Timed mixed questions + practical/OSCE when applicable + written remediation plan built from the error log.

WEEKLY MASTERY CHECK

  • Can explain the week's major mechanisms without notes and draw the key relationships from memory.
  • Question misses are becoming narrower and more specific rather than repeating the same concept error.
  • Older material remains accessible during mixed review; if not, repair spacing before adding more resources. VIDEO-FIRST | SCHOOL-EXAM + BOARD-EXAM MASTERY
