Medical School MD + DO Mastery

A 4-year, board-aligned study system for medical school and licensing exams.

Walk the full Year 1–4 curriculum — foundational sciences, organ-system blocks, clinical clerkships and advanced practice — each with mastery checklists and linked learning resources, plus a dedicated review system for school exams, Shelf/COMAT, USMLE Step 1–3 and COMLEX-USA Levels 1–3.

BIOMECHANICS + OMT TECHNIQUE FAMILIES

YEAR 1-2 | PAGE 19B - PELVIS/SACRUM, COUNTERSTRAIN, MFR, ME/HVLA +

SAFETY — TECHNIQUE SELECTION FOLLOWS DIAGNOSIS

For every OMT family know: DIRECT vs INDIRECT -> ACTIVE vs PASSIVE -> PHYSIOLOGIC PRINCIPLE -> SETUP -> MONITORING -> REASSESSMENT -> MAJOR CONTRAINDICATIONS. School-taught technique and faculty supervision override any video demonstration.

1.Innominates - Dirty Medicine OMM/COMLEX ReviewpelvisAnterior/posterior rotations, inflare/outflare, shear patterns and landmark logic; diagnose from ASIS/PSIS and motion rather than memorized labels.
2.Sacral - Dirty Medicine OMM/COMLEX ReviewsacrumSacral axes, torsions, flexion/extension dysfunctions and seated-flexion/L5 relationships in a high-yield diagnostic framework.
3.Cranial - Dirty Medicine OMM/COMLEX ReviewcranialPrimary respiratory mechanism terminology, cranial strain patterns and board-oriented axes/motion relationships.
4.Cervical Counterstrain - Osteopathic Clinical Skills~13 minHands-on demonstration of anterior cervical tender-point identification, positioning, monitoring and reassessment with explicit patient-safety framing.
5.Thoracic Inlet Myofascial Release - Osteopathic Clinical SkillsMFR demoDemonstrates MFR principles and tissue monitoring at the thoracic inlet; use only as a supplement to faculty-guided technique practice.

B. BIOMECHANICS + HANDS-ON TECHNIQUE VIDEOS - CORE + ENRICHMENT — TECHNIQUE-FAMILY MASTERY CHECK

  • Muscle energy: identify the restrictive barrier and which muscle/action the patient uses; distinguish post-isometric relaxation from reciprocal inhibition conceptually.
  • Counterstrain: localize the tender point, position toward ease, monitor tenderness, hold per school protocol and return/reassess safely.
  • HVLA: know region-specific absolute/relative contraindications and screening; never practice unsupervised or from a video alone.
  • MFR/soft tissue/lymphatic techniques: explain direct vs indirect engagement, treatment goal and when a gentler method is preferred. VIDEO-FIRST | SCHOOL-EXAM + BOARD-EXAM MASTERY
