Bootcamp Mastery Certificate B34

Primary spine: freeCodeCamp / ExamPro Azure Fundamentals plus its 11-hour Azure Administrator course, reinforced with John Savill's Azure Master Class v3 and architecture playlist and Microsoft's Well-Architected guidance. Move from Entra/RBAC, networking, compute and storage to governance, observability, resilience and production architecture.

Benchmark: freeCodeCamp/ExamPro, John Savill and Microsoft publish the cited Azure videos and playlists publicly. Zuyini curates these free learning resources and applies an independent build-and-proof rubric; this does not represent a Microsoft-issued certification or Microsoft endorsement.

Build-Along Checkpoints

  • Checkpoint 1: Create a cost-controlled Azure subscription/resource-group structure with budgets, tags, Entra identities, RBAC and a documented management hierarchy and trust model.
  • Checkpoint 2: Design a VNet with subnets, NSGs, routing, DNS and private-service connectivity; prove intended flows and explicitly block one unauthorized network path.
  • Checkpoint 3: Deploy a resilient workload using VMs/VMSS or App Service behind suitable traffic management; configure health, scaling and zone/region availability assumptions.
  • Checkpoint 4: Add Storage plus a managed data service, managed identities and Key Vault/secret handling; document redundancy, encryption, backup and recovery decisions.
  • Checkpoint 5: Automate repeatable deployment with ARM/Bicep or Terraform, enforce tags/policy and show safe plan/deployment behavior across at least two environments.
  • Checkpoint 6: Instrument Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Application Insights/alerts; run a Well-Architected review and execute one failure/recovery drill with evidence.

7-Day Independent Capstone

  • Day 1: Frame workload, SLOs, data classes and budget; build the management baseline with resource groups, tags, Entra/RBAC, policy and cost controls.
  • Day 2: Build network topology with VNets/subnets, NSGs, DNS and private access; validate routes and capture both allowed and intentionally denied traffic
  • Day 3: Deploy compute/app hosting with load distribution and scaling; add storage/data services and document availability-zone, redundancy and persistence
  • Day 4: Add managed identity, Key Vault/secrets, backup/recovery and least-privilege service access; run one identity or network negative test and explain the
  • Day 5: Codify deployment using Bicep/ARM or Terraform, enforce policy/tags and promote through a second environment with a reviewable change record.
  • Day 6: Add Azure Monitor/Log Analytics/Application Insights and alerts; inject a failure, diagnose it from telemetry and demonstrate rollback/failover/recovery.
  • Day 7: Complete a Well-Architected review, publish architecture/IaC, security and cost notes, telemetry/failure evidence, demo video and an operator-ready

Azure - Govern, Deploy, Observe & Recover

Operate an Azure workload end to end rather than memorizing portal steps. Completion requires Entra/RBAC, networking, compute and data, policy/cost controls, repeatable infrastructure delivery, telemetry, a failure drill and a Well-Architected tradeoff review.

Proof Rubric — What Must Be Shown

  • IDENTITY: Entra/RBAC + managed identity boundaries
  • NETWORK: VNet, routing, NSG + private access evidence
  • COMPUTE: Health, scaling + availability choices
  • DATA: Redundancy, encryption + recovery evidence
  • GOVERNANCE: Policy, tags, budgets + environment control
  • AUTOMATION: Bicep/ARM/Terraform + repeatable deployment
  • OBSERVABILITY: Monitor/Logs/alerts + incident diagnosis
  • ARCHITECTURE: Well-Architected quality + tradeoff rationale
