What This Covers
Zuyini Academy, Health Sciences Academy and Zuyini Weekly.
This policy covers zuyini.com and its Academy, Health Sciences Academy, Newsletter and Free Provider Credentials pages. It does not cover third-party sites we link to (course providers, video hosts, certification pages) — each of those has its own privacy practices.
What We Collect
Only what you give us when you sign up.
If you fill out a signup form on the site (to get free access, join Zuyini Weekly, or both — it's the same signup), we collect:
Name and email address
Used to send Zuyini Weekly (if you're subscribed) and to recognize that you've unlocked full site access. We do not ask for a password, phone number or payment information anywhere on the site — everything on Zuyini is free.
Standard hosting logs
Like any website, our hosting provider (Vercel) may log basic technical data such as IP address, browser type and request timestamps for security and performance. We don't access this for marketing purposes.
What Stays On Your Device
Your progress stays in your browser unless you turn on sync.
Unless you turn on sync, mastery checklists, your "Continue where you left off" progress, your custom "My Learning" path, your Recently Viewed history and your unlocked-access status are all stored using your browser's local storage — not a database we control. That means:
We can't see your progress
We have no record of which videos you've watched or which roles you've browsed. To see whether the Academy is working, the site sends anonymous daily totals only: a visit, a returning visit, a path started, a lesson completed and a path finished. Each is just the event name, with no ID, no page or role, and nothing about you; our server adds 1 to that day's count.
It only syncs across devices if you turn sync on
By default, switching browsers or devices starts your tracked progress over. If you turn on sync in My Learning, a copy of your progress, My Learning path, Recently Viewed history and unlocked status is saved on our server under a random sync code, so you can use it on your other devices. It's linked only to that code, not to your name or email. Stop syncing on a device anytime; to have the saved copy deleted, contact us with the code.
You can clear it anytime
Clearing your browser's site data for zuyini.com removes all of it. Unless you turned on sync, we have no copy to delete on our side.
Who We Share It With
One processor, for one purpose.
We use Kit (formerly ConvertKit) to store signup names/emails and deliver Zuyini Weekly. When you ask the Zuyini Assistant an open question, the question, the last few messages of the chat and the names of the closest Academy pages are sent to our server and to OpenAI to write the answer; we don't store the conversation, and please don't include personal details. We don't sell, rent or share your information with anyone else, and we don't run advertising or third-party analytics trackers on the site.
Your Choices
Unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, anytime.
Unsubscribe from emails
Every email includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops the emails; it does not remove your unlocked-access status, which is separate.
Request deletion
To have your name and email removed from our records, email manny.ogbeide@gmail.com and we'll process the request.
Changes To This Policy
We'll update the date at the top.
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or how we use it, we'll update this page and the "Last Updated" date above. This is a plain-language policy written for a small, static educational site and is not a substitute for legal advice.
