Build cloud-native agents with Bedrock and AgentCore: host agents/tools, expose governed MCP/A2A capabilities through Gateway, give agents workload identity and memory, evaluate behavior and operate safely at scale.
Learn the shared agent architecture once, then build it independently across Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Google Cloud/GCP, OpenAI and AWS — from tools/MCP and identity to evaluation, security, deployment and a cross-platform production portfolio.

Mastery Ladder
Bedrock + Runtime
Bedrock model/tool fundamentals and framework-agnostic agent design; AgentCore Runtime: secure serverless hosting, sessions and isolated execution; memory fundamentals and state boundaries for short- and long-term agent context.
Gateway + MCP + Identity
AgentCore Gateway as governed MCP/HTTP/inference entry point and tool registry; deploy stateless/stateful MCP servers; tools, resources, prompts, sampling and elicitation; AgentCore Identity workload identities, inbound/outbound auth, IAM/OAuth and delegated access.
Evaluate + Operate
AgentCore Evaluations, observability, policy controls and production tracing; MCP/A2A interoperability, multi-agent routing and governed cross-service access; security, resource policies, failure recovery, cost/scaling and operational runbooks.

Hands-On Build Lab — Build Sequence
- 01 – Small agent: Implement a small agent using Bedrock or another supported model/framework; define the user task, data boundaries and success metric.
- 02 – Runtime deploy: Deploy it to AgentCore Runtime and prove session isolation plus failure/restart behavior.
- 03 – MCP server: Build or adapt an MCP server with at least two tools and one resource; run locally, deploy to Runtime and expose through AgentCore Gateway.
- 04 – Identity: Configure inbound authorization and outbound tool authorization; use AgentCore Identity/workload identity rather than embedding long-lived credentials.
- 05 – Memory: Add Memory only where it improves the task; document retention, user scoping, privacy and deletion behavior.
- 06 – Evaluate: Create evaluation cases and operational telemetry; test tool failures, permission denial, prompt injection and partial dependency outages.
- 07 – Staged release: Run a staged release with policy/guardrails, SLOs, cost observations, rollback and a concise architecture/security review.
